I have been meaning to reply to your question in the other thread
the brand I buy is 'Bioceuticals VitD3 forte liquid - sublingual'
http://www.bioceuticals.com.au/product/ ... rops-Forte
in Aus this is practitioner only product, so a naturopath or pharmacist has to sell it to you, so I am not sure you can purchase it online.
Joe has a wholistic therapist, and a compounding pharmacy near him that both stock this product.
unfortunately it is tricky for me from my Aussie IP address to search USA websites to see if it is available. it will only show me websites that can do international transactions etc.
hope this helps!

try googling the name of the product and see if any USA retailers come up in the search results
If there is a compounding pharmacy near by to you, they would most probably be able to stock it.
If you have no luck - I may have to set up an export service - happy to trade USA iTunes vouchers for aussie products!!!

I think that it is liquid VitD3 - I don't think it is sublingual?
I did see these on the same page
http://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-D3-5000-S ... vitamin+d3

MC causes a malabsorption problem for most patients (similar to celiac disease), which significantly reduces our ability to effectively absorb nutrients, especially the "B" vitamins. Sublingual supplements dissolve under the tongue, where they are absorbed directly into the bloodstream, thus bypassing the malabsorption problem that exists in the gut. IOW, sublingual B-12 doesn't have to be digested — it is already in the active form (methylcobalamine). The only effective alternative to sublingual supplements in situations of this sort is to receive B-12 injections in your doctor's office.
For some patients, the problem is minor to insignificant, but the problem can be much more severe for others. Those who react for long periods of time (years) before reaching remission are at risk of developing severe shortages of B-12, which is especially important because of the risk of neurological damage that a shortage of B-12 can cause, if not resolved in a timely manner. Also, adequate availability of folic acid is necessary in order for the body to be able to utilize vitamin B-12.

The brand I use is D-Mulsion 1000. My Neuropathic doctor recommended it.

Is is possible to see more using Chrome Incognito? I don't know if it hides where you're coming from (country) though it hides your IP address. I'm sure the techy people here might know more about if it could work. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=enunfortunately it is tricky for me from my Aussie IP address to search USA websites to see if it is available. it will only show me websites that can do international transactions etc.

Gabes - I looked at the site you gave for the sublingual D3. I saw that is wheat and soy free, but could see if it was dairy free too. Does anyone know? Tks.

Hi all, I get my B12 sublingual at Trader Joes. There pretty tasty too. I have been using them since I became a member here and I have had no problems with them. They have not bothered me even though they have lactose in them and red dye (I am allergic to both). They are very tiny so maybe that's why. I take it everyday.

Sub-Lingual Vitamin D
Good Evening,
I can't figure out how to use the quote feature, so I'll reference Tex's post above re: MC and malabsorption of Vitamin D. I have been taking "what the Dr. ordered", a lovely gel cap with oil in it (50,000IU every other week), for about a year now, and my level was still below normal.....should have been a light-bulb moment, for Dr AND me! Doc just increased it to one cap/week, and after my diagnosis of CC this May, I now have figured out what the rare, but cyclic, filmy, oily D is caused by. I was able to correlate when I have that particularly nasty type of D to the days I take a soft gel of Vit D. IOW, it's passing straight thru, although this last was a record I think. It was 'out' in 2 hours or perhaps less. No WONDER my Vitamin D levels remain sub-par.
Here's my question. I did not realize Sub-Lingual D was available, so I ordered Vit D in tablet form thinking the soft gels with oil were the only problem. It seems, from what you're saying though, Tex, that I may not be able to absorb these either due to the CC....?? (I ordered online and they're not here yet so nothing to report) Can I please have your wise thoughts on Vit D in tablet form vs SL?
Does anyone have thoughts on on Multi-Vitamin tablets in general? (I'm assuming they're not being absorbed either..? or is it just the fat soluble vitamins that present a problem, i.e. A, E, D, & K?) Are they just a waste of money, or do you think they're a "good thing" for us?
As for Vitamin B, my Dr. did well there. I give myself a monthly injection which, for me, is not a problem. My insurance doesn't cover it, but the vial costs about $7 and is enough for 10 injections. And guess what.....why B is within normal limits. D'oh!
I appreciate you all SO much. I come here for what I think is a visit, and end up reading for hours. Every day's a school day! ♥
