Post by mcnomore »

Anyone know of any? I keep reading online that cross-contamination is very possible.

The closest you can come to certified GF quinoa is to buy Kosher brands of quinoa.

The article at this link explains why:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

That's where my research led me, but so far am having trouble finding a kosher quinoa that is certified kosher. I have the articles discussing the issue though. I will keep searching. Thanks

You may need to locate a store that specializes in Kosher products.

I can't believe we don't have any in Berkeley, CA, but there is one in Oakland. There are also some stores with Kosher sections I believe. I'll find it somewhere, I was hoping someone had a brand name they had tried and found to be safe for us with mc.

I have a brand of red quinoa called Roland that I've done OK with. It's also available in black and white.
