Hi Mars,
Sorry! I just got back, about an hour ago, and a neighbor stopped by to visit a while. He had had by-pass surgery, last spring, and is now doing ok.
It was a non-event, at the hospital. A NP took a Q-Tip and poked it way down in there, and swabbed it all aroumd, several times, and couldn't find any evidence of gangrene, or infection, nor any other pockets of fluid, so after consulting with the surgeon, they decided not to open it up, and she told me to wear an absorbent pad, to keep the blood off my clothes.
I asked her about the rash, that suddenly showed up today, to which she replied that it could be caused by anything, (well duh), but didn't offer any suggestions about it. Sigh.
At least I'm not having to deal with antibiotics. She drew a line around the red, swollen area, and told me to call, if the redness gets outside that line. Otherwise, I'll see them next Wednesday, the 30th.
It feels better today, anyway, since the pressure was relieved a lot, when all that fluid came out. Soooooooooo, I reckon I'm still on the road to recovery.
Love,
Wayne
P S They only kept me for 15 minutes today, but I caught a ride with one of my brothers, who is a realtor, and since he had to show a farm/ranch at 2 pm, I had to kill a lot of time waiting for him to return. I made use of the time by snoozing. LOL.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Sounds like time well spent - snoozing! LOL
I glad they didn't seem to think there was anything to worry about. Makes me feel some better (I'm sure you do too). Hopefully, the swelling don't go beyond the circle and you don't have to make another trip before the 30th.
Hope your Thanksgiving is good! Are you going somewhere? Sure hope so - you need pampered for awhile!
Thanks for letting us know you are doing ok.
Lots of love,
Mars
