In response to “an epidemic state” of Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) — the most common infectious cause of diarrhea in hospitals,” Mayo Clinic has created a C. difficile Clinic at its Rochester campus.
“C. difficile infection is a major cause of diarrhea in inpatients and outpatients that happens after antibiotic exposure,” says the clinic’s announcement. “It is associated with several complications, including severe ... infection, recurrent infection and treatment failure.”
The clinic’s goal is to improve patient outcomes using newly available treatments, such as fecal transplants.
Referrals may be made to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology appointment office at 507-284-2141.

Very interesting, Deb.
I see you're from Minnesota. Are you far from Rochester? I'm just across the boarder by La Crosse, Wisconsin. I've heard fairly good news about fecal transplants, but also the importance of addressing the source before even trying the procedure or it would fail. Who knows.....
Thanks for posting this.
