I've eaten the cherries in a cherry crisp dessert for four days in a row (I'm gaining weight, too, LOL). I haven't had any reaction, so I'm hopeful I can handle them. Of course, I'm still on 1 Entocort a day and 1/2 Imodium, but that seems to be a permanent regimen for me.
For those who have problems with fructose like I do, mango, rhubarb and sour cherries are all low in fructose and histamines. I think that's why I can tolerate them.
DH helped me pick the cherries and pit them. I made some jam and canned some cherries. There are a lot more cherries on the top of the tree, but the birds like the ones we can reach.
