Long time, no "see"
Hi all, and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
It has been too long since I've visited. I've been sitting here reading on all that's happening with all of you and I feel so sad that I haven't been here more to encourage those of you who have recently had surgeries and losses. My prayers are with all of you, and it looks as if there is improvement on most fronts. I'll try to log on more and see how you are all doing.
As most of you know, I spent my summer working at camp and I didn't even try to log on then - too busy and having too much fun!!!
Anyway, I came back home and went straight to work (in less than 24 hrs after returning home!) and I've been trying to keep up ever since. The day after Labor Day I had some minor surgery to release a trigger thumb. It was outpatient and I had to miss 2 days work was all. BUT, that put me behind at work more than I'd anticipated it would.
I was off work today, and don't go back until Mon. I have so much to do around the house as it is turning into quite the "pit"! I also have a lot of relaxing to do!
Oh well, I'll try to visit a bit more often. For those wondering, my health is still doing great! I remain gluten free and for the past 6 months have been vegetarian (not vegan though, Maggie!) I'm enjoying the dietary challenges more than I did when I first began gf, and I seem to have lots more health benefits.

Hi Mary,
It's great to see a post from you, and see that you are doing so well.
We've been having a spell of "South Texas" weather again this week, here in Central Texas. Temps were near 90, yesterday afternoon, but it will be cooler today, with the cloud cover. It seems strange to read about all the snow that everone north of here is having, when it's so hot down here.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday, and please keep us updated, more often.
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hello Gramma Mary!!! It was so nice to see your post. Remember me, gentle hugs, or Wendy from the other board. Anyway, I am not sure if you seen it, but I am looking forward to becoming a gramma myself next year in May. Pretty exciting stuff, bought a little sweater set yesterday at the hospital. I couldn't walk by where they ladies auxillary had a display of all those home made sweaters and blankies.
Hope to see you back here again soon.
Gentle hugs
Wendy

Hi Mary,
NICE to hear an update from you. I'm feeling very blessed today and thankful for many things and at the top of that list is you and all the other great friends and mentors I've met through PP. Take care.
Love,
Joanna

MARY!!!!
It's wonderful to hear from you again! You truly are one of the pioneers around here, and it is great to know how well you are doing. What kind of vegetarian? Do you still do dairy and eggs? What health benefits are you noticing?
Also, how are the grandsons and the kitty?
Enjoy your weekend off. Are you still doing school nursing? Glad to hear the surgery was successful.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
