"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
When I broke my arm, just below the wrist, a few years ago, I thought I would never get my full range of wrist motion back. Even a year later, it wasn't back to normal, probably because I never did any special exercises.
As I continued to use it, though, sometime later, I happened to notice one day, that it was just as good as new, with a full range of motion, and just as strong as ever..
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Range of Motion
Hi Oma:
Nice to see you here.
Your range of motion should come back in time - VERY important to do your physio. I know it hurts, but it does help. I worked through it hard and within 3 months had a 135 degree bend - the surgeon was very happy with me.
Try to be careful not to bend your knee sideways for awhile - that can cause problems.
How are you walking? Using a walker or cane? If you're using a cane make sure to use it on the opposite side to your operated knee. I was using it on the same side as the operated knee and the physiotherapist said that was wrong and so showed me how to do it right.
You'll get better soon - it will take a few months. I noticed a marked difference almost to the day at three months, but everyone is different of course - you may notice it sooner. I hope so.
Be careful of your balance and watch every step - don't want any falls.
I'm thinking about you.
Love - Momster

Hi Oma
Nice to hear from you. It just takes time. Just be patient & keep at & you will get there. I have a friend who has had 2 knee replacements, 2 hip replacements & a shoulder done as well. Not all at the same time of course. She is out playing bowls, with the aid of a bowler's arm. She does set the xray machines at airports into overdrive but after a lot of persistence she is living a fairly normal life. Have faith.
