This web page talks about two different alleles in milk protein and how the one with histidine causes autoimmunity.

I wonder if the switch to the amino acid histidine in this protein is what contributes to the histamine excess in a lot of us.

The Type I diabetes section talks about the TRIGR study that my kids were enrolled in.
