So Bored!

Post by kate_ce1995 »

UGH, this sitting around/laying on the couch thing is really getting to me. I can't sit up for long periods of time as I get a stinging kind of pain at my right hip. So I can't DO a heck of a lot. The house needs cleaning desperately, but I can't do that either. Geoff has a cold and is so tired...so he's not doing much of anything right now either. I'm at what should be the half way point to returning to work. I did go grocery shopping (i.e. walking around the grocery store...geoff pushed the cart, got the food etc.) yesterday, and a quick trip back to the store today. It made me tired, but I did okay and it was good to get out of the house. With the snow on Thanksgiving, I can't really even get out to wander the driveway now (plus its still cold and a bit blustery out there).

Wah, wah, wah.

Katy,

I hear you. I'm pretty fortunate, in that I can stay up all day, and only lay down at night. I'm doubly blessed, in that the weather is pretty decent, so going outstide is not a problem.

Still, sitting up gets pretty tiresome, after a while. My butt gets sore from sitting all day, and my back gets sore, from laying flat in bed, at night, so I can certainly visualize how tough it must be if you can't even sit up for long periods.

I hope your aches and pains start letting up pretty soon. My condition seems to be improving fairly rapidly, now.

Boy can I identify with you Katy and Tex. like Tex My butt goes to sleep. I can't just go walking out in the yard and pasture for fear of falling in a hole. Bored! But I guess it won't last forever. Mike is at the deer lease hunting this weekend so I am double bored. He's been doing all the cooking so I am eating left overs. Love Oma

Hi Oma,

Did you get any rain today, or last night? We got about 80 points, (8 tenths of an inch), of good, slow, soaking rain this morning--the first we've had in a long time. I was really glad to see it, because the fire risk was getting pretty high around here. It'll help for a while, at least.

I've watched more television in the past week than I've watched in a long, long time. I usually go to bed early, so as to get a good night's rest, and watch tv a while, to make me sleepy. Usually, though, it takes a long time to get to sleep, and then I wake up in the middle of the night, to answer a call of nature, (never had the problem before the surgery), and then I watch tv for an hour or two, to get back to sleep again. I never knew there was so much stuff on tv, in the middle of the night. LOL.

Love.
