Thank You, Dear Friends

Post by tex »

I saved all the cards that I received, and opened them this morning, when I had the time to properly appreciate and enjoy them. (Yeah, I know that's kind of a weird way to go about it, but I never said I wasn't weird. LOL).

I really appreciate all your thoughts, and prayers, and your kind words. Your support means a lot to me, and definitely helps to smooth out the recovery process.

Reading them all this morning, made this a very special Thanksgiving day for me, and got my day off to a great start, by putting me in a wonderful mood.

Thank you so very much, for being such great friends.
I love you all, so very much,

Wayne

Well, it never ceases to amaze me what a wonderful person you are too Wayne. I wish I could have gotten a card out to you too, not having a car really sucks at those times, because it is such a little thing, takes only a few minutes, but it might as well be on the other side of the moon for me. Then when you do go out, you better have it on the list, or it has to wait again. And I really feel bad that I didn't get to do that little thing because you just know that its those little things that can really cheer a person up. I also know exactly what you mean by reading them a second time to really appreciate them fully, I do that all the time too.

Hope you are enjoying your turkey day too. Do you get to eat turkey by the way???

Hugs

Hi Wendy,

Don't feel badly about not sending a card. I certainly didn't expect anyone to send a card, because I'm not very good at sending cards, myself. Living out in the country, I know what you mean about having to plan ahead, to get the things you need done, while you're in town.

I had chicken today, since it takes too long to eat a turkey. LOL. I'll probably encounter some turkey later today, if I feel up to visiting with some of my family members.

Hugs,
Wayne

Hi Wayne

Sounds as though you are improving Wayne. Don't know if you have received my card as yet, takes a while to get across the pond I guess.
Take care.

Love

Liz

Hi Liz,

Not yet, but I'll be looking forward to receiving it.

I had a nice, relaxing day, today. I'm slowly getting stronger, and I feel a little better each day.

I'm glad you are feeling better Wayne. I didn't send a card either but like you said it something else to plan ahead while you are in town if you live in the country....then I am dealing with getting this knee right. But glad you are better. Love Oma

Hi Oma,

As far as I'm concerned, all the support that you've offered in posts on this board are worth at least as much as a card. I just mentioned the cards, because I was reading them at the time, but all the kind words posted to this board mean just as much to me, and I appreciate all the support that I've received here.

Just keep that knee improving and I'll be more than happy.

Love,
Wayne

Morning Wayne,

I do not think you are weird and that is coming from the Queen of weirdness.

I think that was an absolutely great way to start Thanksgiving off. Time to sit and appreciate the good friends you have and also to know how much you have affected our lives in such a positive way.

Love, Maggie
