Hi Barbara, welcome. How wonderful that you were able to enjoy your vacation.

I also have a runny nose whenever I eat or drink anything, going through lots of kleenex. I'll let you know if I learn anything from my allergist whom I should be seeing soon.

I went on Asacol, 3-800 mg a day and within two weeks, along with going gluten-free, dairy-free and no vegies I was much better after about three weeks. I had stopped eating corn, soy and eggs a couple of years ago because of allergies.

I had been on Asacol before, but it didn't work for me, I guess because I didn't do the diet along with it at that time.

Hope you feel better very soon.

South BeachGluten Solution

Post by Babalou »

I decided to start Dr. Agaston's South Beach Gluten Solution last Friday. Although dairy is still included, fruit and grains of all types are eliminated for two weeks. So far I feel good and this morning experienced my best elimination in months. Could be all the veggies but I have not been hungry, which usually causes me to abandon a program with my low blood sugar. I could give up the grains, would be unhappy about fruit but time will tell. I do feel a lot less bloated and burpy and my waist is down 1.5 inches. Will update as I reintroduce foods.
