Hi Monique
I don't know if this would work with cherries but to peel tomatoes and tiny onions do the following:
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Using a sharp paring knife, cut a small X in the bottom of
tomato or onion. Drop into boiling water briefly, 1 min +- Remove with a slotted spoon and gently peel off the skin.
Hope it works.

Gloria,
Apologies.....for my late contribution

How exciting to have new ingredients....... What a treat for you and DH (are you sharing with DH?)

Do you think the paleo concept of eating what's in season helps??? Less histamine a that way??

Enjoy!!!!!

Hi Gabes,

Yes, I am sharing the cherry crisp and rhubarb crisp with DH. He puts whipped cream on his, though.

I canned all the cherries we could pick from the tree, and froze the rhubarb. I hope I can continue to eat them both and hope they last me until next summer. I'm pretty sure I can buy sour cherries in the can, but I seem to remember that they add red food dye to the can. If they run out, I still have my mangos, which I love the most.

I'm not sure if the concept of eating fruits in season is helping. I'll find out when I use them in the winter, I guess. I wonder if the vitamin D we get in the summer affects our ability to eat more fruits.
