This damn disease!

Post by m »

I'm having another flareup and it ruined my Thanksgiving plans! I get so sick of being sick. I woke up this morning feeling a little off but went about my business cooking and cleaning. It got progressively worse until I'd visited the bathroom at least 8 times and was breathing through my mouth because I felt so nauseous. I had to cancel my plans to go over to my sister's and even had to tell my guest our plans were off. I have all this food and I'm too sick to eat it. If you can't tell, I'm MAD.

Melissa,

You have every right to be upset. I'm so sorry that it spoiled your holiday plans. It's a cruel disease, and we're pretty much at it's mercy.

I hope the flare doesn't last long.

Hugs,

Melissa,

So sorry about your day. What a bummer. Hope you are getting some rest (and respite from potty trips) and it will settle down soon.

Melissa,

Bummer is right! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles and at such an inopportune time. This dang disease just doesn't know it's place, does it? There is no good time for a flare-up, but there are times that are way worse than others for it to hit us  . I pray it eases up for you SOON.

Love
Peg

Hi Melissa,

It is a damn disease.

I was fine on Thanksgiving but on Saturday night I had some cranberry sauce and was in horrible pain and D on Sunday. I cannot eat raw fruits but I thought I would take the chance - not again.

Hope you are feeling better.

Love, Maggie

I'm so sorry about your flare! I am thankful that I can eat almost anything right now....I know this could end at any time....a few years ago, the cranberry salad I ate at Thanksgiving would have sent me over the edge....ground cranberries, ornages, celery, and nuts....yikes! Sounds like a recipe for disaster, but I managed to eat it.
