Yes, I've tried amaranth flour. It has an "earthy" taste. I didn't like it very much and wasn't bothered when it started to bother me. I used to make muffins out of it and realized there was a connection between eating the amaranth muffins and my gurgling in the evening.

Pecan was the only yellow nut on my MRT test. All the rest were green. Almonds were about 1.7. Pistachio, hazelnut, walnut, and cashew were all less reactive values, but I don't eat any of them other than hazelnut and walnut oils. I reacted to cashews like many others on the board. I've made walnut butter, but I don't like the taste of it as much as almond butter. Can't do almond butter - yet.

I think I did know that cashews were in the same family as mangos. That may be why I waited 2 years to try a mango. Mango was my lowest fruit MRT score.

Thanks for chatting. I didn't have much luck with sorghum this week, which makes sense because I was yellow on MRT for millet. I'm trying teff today. Wish me luck! If that doesn't work, I ordered chestnut flour, and amaranth and buckwheat, to try. There has to be something I can tolerate, so I don't feel so hungry. If those fail, I'll try almond flour again, but since it was 2+ on Enterolab I wanted to test all others first.

It's a drag being a human guinea pig all the time!
