I wonder if anyone has tried using this Black Cumin Seed Oil? It's very inexpensive on Amazon. I am wondering because I only know one person who has colitis but his is Ulcerative Colitis. He is usually sick and always on meds but I ran into him recently and he was enjoying a remission which he credits to nothing but this Black Cumin Seed Oil. He said, he researched it and then tried it. The first 4 days food was running through him fast and then it kicked in and he got better and is enjoying remission. I'd never seen him so happy. I can't remember if it was a tablespoon a day he took but he said, it tastes bad and needs a quick juice chaser. I'm curious if anyone has tried it.
Best,
cory

Cory,
I've never heard of it, so I don't know anything about it. Cumin is known to have anti-inflammatory effects, so it wouldn't be surprising if cumin seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties.
We have to remember that spontaneous remission is quite common with both UC and Crohn's but almost rare with MC, unfortunately.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thanks Tex, I kinda suspected that UC would be different. I guess, I am always looking for a miracle potion. I am not good at swallowing medicines that taste bad. My mom used to force Cod Liver Oil on my as a kid.
Have a glorious feel good day!

Yep, I remember those days, too. That's probably why I've never cared much for fish, in general. LOL.Cory wrote:My mom used to force Cod Liver Oil on my as a kid.
Thanks, I hope you have a super day, too.
