Hi!
I was making a baking powder replacement with cream of tartar and baking soda (baking powder has corn starch and I'm trying to stay away from corn).
I just used it in my teff bread last night and my buckwheat waffles this morning, and I had reactions all afternoon. I had urgent very small bm's that had stringy mucous. The only difference in my diet was the McCormick Cream of Tartar I used to making the baking powder.
On celiac.com they listed McCormick cream of tartar as being gluten free. It does not say it is on the label. Could it be that...or might it have soy in it??
Anyone have some thoughts?
Thanks!

Linda,
Since cream of tarter is made from the residue left from fermenting grapes in wine casks, it is almost surely high in both histamines and sulfites, but that's just a WAEG, I don't know that for a fact.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
