Hi Donna and Lesley,

Thanks for the welcome. I am not a big fan of cooking, but it will become an adventure. I think I will miss Chinese take out the most!!!

Warmly,
Lori

I agree with Donna. Eating out right now is a mine field. That GF pizza will be cooked on the same surface as a gluten pizza. Both the tomato sauce and the cheese are also problems. Pizza is one food I miss the most ( even though I didn't indulge a lot In it).

I have no plans to be eating out, except for the week I am out of town. I am hoping to make friends with a restaurant chef who could boil my chicken and over cook my green beans. This makes me laugh, because it is true and I don't want to cry. At this point I am afraid of food in general!

I am feeling a little funny as well, which I think could be the entocort. I hear my voice in my head, and I can feel my blood flowing. Very strange, but my LC this afternoon is better than yesterday afternoon. I seem to be going in the right direction.

Warmly,
Lori

Lori,

Keep an eye on the side effects. If you should begin to develop balance problems, or dizziness, or memory issues, you might need to discontinue the Entocort. Not everyone can take it if the side effects become bothersome.

Good luck with eating out. I have had some really nice people address my gluten intolerance. I ate at an Italian restaurant in the DC area with a group of people several years ago. I was on a business trip & wanted to eat dinner with a group that was attending a conference. I spoke to the manager. He had the chef prepare grilled salmon, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. It was delicious and he made sure there was not any cross contamination.

Welcome Lori, there are lots of great suggestions here. I was eating all sorts of healthy foods that I though was helping me too but I was doing more harm than good. Luckily, there are people here who know what works. It's too bad The MC diet plan isn't a one size fits all but the advice I've received here is priceless. The best part is there is no judgement or stupid questions.
