IMO, that treatment response is very likely due to the stress-suppression effects of cannabis.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Whatever the reason, the bottom line is that some people got relief! I wonder if it would work for MC? I could do my own experiment, but I don't think being stoned all the time would work for my job. I don't think I'd want to work out very hard! ha ha ha.

It does definitely make you more hungry! I consider that a problem for me though. Then I am just trying to wrack my brain trying to find something else to eat that won't bother me!

let us know if you try it Joan. I can already tell you that just smoking it on the weekend doesn't bring on remission :)

When I tried it a billion years ago, I didn't like it at all. I felt drunk with one puff. However, at this point if it were legal, I'd use it.

DH is supposed to have knee replacement surgery in Sept. I don't know how I am supposed to go to the hospital each day and then take care of him. I can't even take care of myself.......Entocort better work for me.

I know people go into rehab facilities after knee replacement.
He's on a Holter monitor right now because he has buzzing/vibrating in his chest.
He sees the doc later this afternoon.

I am going to be very blunt when we meet with his ortho doctor.

My stress is through the roof.

Hi Joan, Great post. I watched a special on CNN about how it was used for medical treatment and that it was succesful for crohns. I was going to research it further. Time to call my PCP from Mass. They just passed the use for medical reasons. Jon

Hi Joan,

I hope the entocort works for you. I started a week ago, and I really feel a big difference. When you are in pain, it is impossible not to feel overwhelmed.

Most folks do go into rehab for several weeks, after knee replacement surgery. I hope recovery for both of you is easy.

Warmly,
Lori

Darn.

I may have to try it to take the edge off my itchy rash though! I bet it numbs the nerves in the skin!

There is no legal medical marijuana where you are Joan? Living in California, I forget that there are still states that make it a crime. Even before we had an Ok for medical use, it was decriminalized a long time ago.

Feel better soon. i hope the Entocort works

I almost wrote a post about medical marijuana after seeing this on television the other night. I guess Dr. Sanjay Gupta has changed his way of thinking about it after the help it has given this little girl. I was wondering if it would help with chronic D.
