Another question
Hello. Hope everyone is having a great day today.
I have a question that I guess I should know the answer to, but I don't. For lunch today, I had Mahi Mahi, beets and green beans. Patting myself on the back for eating so good. Then it happened-- I barely made it to the bathroom. It was not D but not Norman either. It was probably less than 15 minutes after I had eaten. Was it from my lunch today or was it from something that I ate earlier? My EnteroLab results had tuna in the +1. Is the Mahi Mahi too similar to the tuna? By the way, I don't like fish but do try and eat it on occasion.
I started cleaning out my pantry today to rid it of gluten. I kept trying to hold on to things thinking that would be okay, but put everything in a bag to give to my daughter. It really made me sad.

Jane,
It's difficult to guess what might have caused that. For many of us, especially early on in the healing process, just the simple act of eating can prompt a BM, especially if it's a relatively large (or bulky) meal. If it wasn't watery D, it may not have been caused by the fish.

A number of years ago, one member actually held a little informal funeral ceremony for her old gluten-based foods as she was cleaning out her pantry and saying goodbye to them.Jane wrote:I started cleaning out my pantry today to rid it of gluten. It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hey Tex,
I like the idea of the funeral. A great way to say good bye to the old and then be able to look forward to good health! Back to the fish. I had tuna in the +1 on the EnteroLab so that is why I has wondering if Mahi Mahi was in the same category. I do think it will be a while before I try fish again.
Hope you day is going great.

Jane, hard to tell what it might have been, but I had a hard time with beets in the early stages.
Sorry about the Chex . I was very sad cleaning out my pantry too. But once it's all gone, it feels pretty good. Now you can fill that space with things that are healthy for you.
