Only if you are sensitive to rice. Chelated supplements are more desirable than other types because they are more easily absorbed than most other forms (and more expensive).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I've been avoiding grains, rice included....I have no idea if am sensitive to it....maybe I will try it. I sure don't want to increase D - it is 200 MG capsule which is under the RDA for women.

I've been eating a banana before bed, sometimes it works and other nights I am jumping out of bed. During exercise today, my calf seized up on me then moved to my foot.

I'm glad you seem to have yours under control.

Terre,

You're right — foot/leg cramps can be caused by any electrolyte deficiency, especially potassium and calcium, but the most common cause seems to be magnesium deficiency (probably because magnesium deficiency is almost as common as vitamin D deficiency in the general population, and it's even more common among people who have digestive system diseases).

My mom used to use magnesium lotion: http://www.amazon.com/Shealys-Biogenics ... B000RGRWS0

It really helped her.

Apparently your skin can absorb it pretty well, and it bypasses the digestion issues
