Update on AllDayChemist

Post by Rosie »

Many of us have ordered the budesonide online from AllDayChemist because it is so much cheaper than getting it from a pharmacy here and you didn't need a prescription. However, a few months ago there was a discouraging post that indicated that AllDayChemist had changed their policies so that you now needed a prescription. Also, they weren't accepting credit cards. Tex checked it out and confirmed that this appeared to be the case.

I ordered from AllDayChemist a few weeks ago, and want to relay my experience. It wasn't for budesonide, but for other drugs, as I now compare what my drug plan co-pays would cost for my prescriptions versus what AllDayChemist charges. I just saved $742!

1. They now accept Visa. However, they don't do it on-line, but over the phone. It worked quite easily, as I provided my phone number and they called me within 5 minutes.

2. I didn't need a prescription. I just ignored the request to send a scanned or faxed copy, and was never asked for it. And of course I never volunteered that I hadn't provided a prescription in any of my phone or e-mail correspondence, or asked them if I "really" needed one. I guess "Don't ask, don't tell" is the way to go!

So if anyone wants to order from them and doesn't have a prescription, don't assume it won't work. The worst that can happen is that they turn down your request, and then you're no worse off than if you hadn't given it a try.

Thanks for sharing that information, Rosie. That's very helpful

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
