Update on new GI doctor and colonoscopy/endoscopy

Post by kitty16 »

Hi,

I survived   All I can say is I truly know how awful my former doctor was. Everyone in this office was kind and caring. They could not believe the way the other office/doctor treated me and all there patients.

Now for what the tests showed. Endoscopy hiatial hernia and gastritis. The colonoscopy had many points with things that were not normal but nothing that gave a diagnosis. He said he took a lot of biopsies and was sending them to an IBD specialist. He was also ordering that it be tested for mast cells.

If kindness was the cure I would be well today.

Ill keep you posted. Thanks for listening.

Hugs,
KK

Kind and compassionate doctors make all the difference, don't they? Did they say when they thought they'd have the biopsies back? Sorry about the hernia! Is that something that heals or how is it treated?

He wants to see me in 2 weeks but he said if results come in before he will call me. He said this type of hernia was nothing to worry about. I really have not upper stomach pain or complaints.

Thanks

Hi Kitty,

That sounds very encouraging. I agree that a doctor who cares is bound to offer a lot of benefits for his patients, and his attitude will help to make the treatment easier.

You seem to have found a winner.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
