Just Checking in

Post by annie oakley »

Hi Family! My sister called me yesterday to tell me about a lady in her church that had a knee replacement same time I did. The lady was having trouble with range of motion because of fast scaring. My sister had bought new rockers and gave the old ones to this lady (they were in great condition) and about 5 days later my sister went to pick her up and take her to church and discovered that the lady had been using the rocking chair and had gained range of motion and was generally better. So....since I am having trouble with range of motion...mike and I are getting my rocking chair from SIL this weekend. Keep all fingers and toes crossed for me please that this will help me...otherwise I am in deep dodo as far as the knee goes. I have missed alot but have had a few problems and a little depression over bills and etc. So I thought I'd check in and see how all of you are. I hope you are all well. Love Oma

Hi Oma,

Sorry you are having difficulties. You are doing the right thing with the rocking chair. Using a roccking chair helped me alot during recovery. I found a web site last weekend that you might want to check into. It is called kneegeeks at you guested it - www.kneegeeks.co.uk . There is a very supportive thread that was started by ladies that had tkrs last March under the arthritis room. I wish I had known about while I was going through my rehab.

Take care,
