Two questions before my cruise
1. Is there an easy way to upload photos from an Iphone into the body of a message? I read the instructions on the intro page but didn't understand them?
2. I drink very little alcohol compared to pre MC. I seem to be okay with half of a glass of white wine after eating a meal and I'm also okay with about a 1/3 of a bottle of Angry Orchard apple cider after a full meal.
Tex can you give me a list of spirits that I might be okay with? I'm not a mixed drink person but hey I'm going on vacation.
Question for the coffee drinkers---is there a splash of a spirit that you like added to coffee? I'm thinking I'll be cold in Canada.
Thanks everyone!

Brandy I'll share with you what I know, I'm sure text will be on soon and be able to give better info thang I can.
Beer is off limits as it is made from and contains wheat. There are gluten free beers and I did try one of them and being a good German boy found it to be verboten!!! It tasted awful. I think any of the beers pose the greatest risk.
Vodka is ok as it's made from potatoes
Most distilled spirits (hard liquors) are considered safe as he distillation process does not transfer any of the proteins that would cause problems
Wine is generally ok, although some here can be a bit sensitive to yeast. If that is the case white wine can be better than red. It should be nots that yeast sensitivity is not that common.
As far as coffee...simply ask for an Irish coffee, it includes a splash of Irish whiskey. If you have to choose just ask for a shot of good Irish malt whiskey....it tastes good, smooth and will warm your toes!!
As far as uploading photos, I created a free account at www.photobucket.com and then used their easy to use service that gives you a simple text string that 'points' to the photo of interest, you then simply copy and then paste that text, into your post here. The other nice thing with photobucket is that you can also easily share the photos you want to with friends and family.
Best of wishes
Have a great trip!!

Hi Brandy,
Joe pretty well covered everything you asked about. As he said, any distilled spirits should be OK. That includes whiskey, rum, vodka, tequila, etc., plus wines. Stay away from wine coolers or any spirits that are blended back with an undistilled product after the distillation process.
Hope you have a great trip.

Brandy, I do fine with vodka and tequila, BUT the juices that are usually mixed with these distilled alcohols can be a problem. I usually order vodka with club soda with a SPLASH of cranberry juice. Or I just shoot tequila straight! WIne gives me more problems because of histamines. If you have that issue, red is a big no no.
Have a great time!

I'm a purist, figuring the fewer things that are added to a drink, the better. I don't drink gin, vodka, rum or tequila, just because I don't have any taste for them. I never drink qnything that involves juice or other sugary concoctions. I'm a scotch, whiskey, bourbon girl. I do drink wine, but I think histamines and maybe sulfites may be an issue. Testing that over the next stretch.

Re: Two questions before my cruise
Have fun Brandy! I don't drink much alcohol anymore either but have on occasion had a tequila or vodka with soda water with no problems. I also love Angry Orchard. I do miss my beer. Has anyone tried any of the gluten free beers?brandy wrote:1. Is there an easy way to upload photos from an Iphone into the body of a message? Hi Brandy,
I just wanted to warn you about the GF beers, they frequently contain rice, and I've found I'm very sensitive to them. I had a Daura the other day, and I was in pain for two days, looked it up and sure enough, RICE. I actually found it delicious :( so I was sad.
I'm also only having the occasional Angry Orchard or Woodchuck cider now - don't enjoy as much but I'm not reacting to them. I'm still on Entocort so I probably shouldn't be having any of this stuff.
You might be able to handle a little tequila.
Have a great trip!

HI Brandy-- I have no advice, just wishing you the time of your life. Have a blast!
I'm glad you asked this question. Tequila? Hmmmm. I might have to look closer into that.
happy cruising,
Carol
