DH's Knee Replacement Surgery
DH was cleared to drive today, 16 days after his surgery. He still wants me to drive him to PT today.
He had to be at the hospital at 5:15 in the morning. He drove himself and friends picked me up later to see him and pick up the car. It was not a good situation but what worked because of my MC and that I no longer drive in the dark. MC also interferred at other times just as I feared.
The day of surgery, he was doing fine because the pain meds were given directly into the leg. He was answering questions for the nurse to input into the computer, when all of a sudden he was completely nonresponsive! It took her way longer than I thought necessary to call the ICE Team. It does not stand for In Case of Emergency but it could. I found out the next day that they gave him oxygen and a shot of Narcon. It was all scary as heck, people running from ICU etc. and seemed like a really bad TV drama.
