HELLO ALL, WELL TODAY I HAD MY 2ND VISIT TO THE SPECIALIST. GYNO. HE PUT ME RIGHT AT EASE. SAID I SHOULD CARRY ON WITH TAKING 3 ENTOCORT EA MORNING. UNTIL JAN 30TH WHEN HE WILL SEE ME ONCE AGAIN.
HE ADVISED ME TO STOP THE ASOCOL, AS FROM TOMORROW FRI. AND TO BACK OFF FROM THE IMODIUM SLOWLY. I TAKE 5 ASOCOL ALL IN THE MORNING AND 5 IMODIUM.
I HAVE IN THE PAST DUMPED THE ASOCOL ALL AT ONCE (PRE ENTOCORT) CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENED. I COULDNT STOP SH...TING. I COULD SH..T THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE.
IT REALLY DIDNT DAWN ON ME FOR A FEW WEEKS WHAT WAS CAUSING ALL THIS, I JUST THOUGHT, I WAS GETTING WORSE WITH THIS MC.
MY HUSBAND (POOR MAN) MENTIONED THAT PERHAPS IT WAS ME PACKING UP THE ASOCOL IN ONE GO.
I RE-STARTED IT AND ALTHOUGH IT DID NOT STOP THE DIAREA IT DID STOP THE DESPERATION.
NOW THE DR HAS SAID HE WILL KNOW IF THE STEROID ARE WORKING AND DOING THEIR JOB, WHEN I STOP THE ASOCOL.
LEAVES ME A BIT WORRIED, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
ONLY ALTERNITIVE IS INCO KNICKERS.

If the Entocort is working, then there is no reason to take the Asacol, because both drugs do the same thing, except that Entocort does it better.
If your symptoms return when you stop the Asacol, then you will know that the Entocort is not helping.
