falling apart

Post by christinakay »

I have been tapering off entocort gradually. I am now down to 3 days on 3mg and 1 day off. I do this for a few
cycles. Today first BM was good, then it was all down hill. WD multiple times today. TMI but the color is very yellow.

Last night when I went to bed, I thought that I had not eaten anything that could possibly cause any
problems in the bathroom.

Could it be a virus? I don't have any cramping and I don't feel bad.

Thanks to everyone here for all of your help! I truly believe I would be housebound without this website.

The yellow color just means that you are having rapid transit — instead of remaining in your colon for roughly 24 hours or so, it made the trip way ahead of schedule. It's certainly not impossible that something in your diet may have caused the deterioration, but since it happened so quickly, and you didn't eat anything "new" yesterday, that suggests that a virus might be responsible.

Hopefully, that's all it is, and it will pass in a day or so, and you will get back on track.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Christian,
When I am on Budesonide I can eat many things I can't eat when I am off it. Budesonide masks foods I am sensitive to. When I roll off I need to be super careful of what I eat. As you roll off you might want to eat some bland, low-fibre foods until you get your bearings and find your way by adding an item every few days. The fact that you have no gut ache is a good sign. Your body may be adjusting.
