Found out tonight about stepdaughters mom, not good

Well April called me tonight to let me know what happened with her mom and why. It turns out they found bowel cancer, and went in and removed part of her colon, and say that they got it all. So right now that is all we know, she will be in the hospital for awhile because of the other disease she has that can kill her at any given momment. Sheesh, what more can she take. She had brain surgery less then a year ago, and one stroke a few months before that. And April couldn't call me because she was having too much trouble trying to understand it all. Tonight she called me twice, just to talk to me about it all. She has this Friday off, as in Alberta, the students get every second Friday off, so she will leave on Thursday and be able to stay there till Sunday, go back home to finish out the school week, and then she will be on Christmas holidays, and will stay with her mom. I can call there then and perhaps talk to her mom for a little bit. This must be so hard to cope with, she was ALWAYS going like the energy bunny. SHe worked a full week and also gave Spanish lessons through night courses. She had remarried just three months before her first stroke. Not fair, after her living with that creep for all those years and being treated poorly to say the least, she finally has a wonderful man, and then this. But at least she has a great friend in her husband, but it is just so sad. Well it makes little things seem so insignifacant(and that is a doozy of a spelling error, but oh well).


For Moi, I am off to get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, no napping before having to go down town to docs office.

So sorry to hear that the news is so dire. She really has had a lot to bear. Hopefully there will be a good outcome to this episode. It is possible, so I hope they all can keep their spirits up, especially your step-daughter, who is awfully young to deal with it all. I'm glad she has you to talk to!

Sad news to read----but you know we werent promised a ROSE GARDEN---I often think of that song---

Its even sadder when someone has finally found happiness and then gets hit with all these health issues---

Dont we all wonder *WHY*---that forever asking Question~~~~
