Thanks! From reading other thyroid cancer stories I am very lucky. For many, it is not the "good" cancer that it's made out to be.

Thanks Marie, its amazing what you can get through with a good support network. Thanks to all of you!

Lori, so far I've noticed an improvement in my energy but my stamina is not anywhere close to normal. I have been told it takes six weeks to recover from the surgery so I wont rush myself. I am taking 2/50mcg of levothyroxine made by Mylan before bedtime and it seems to be a good fit so far. I have to get labs done in a few weeks to see if the dose needs to be adjusted. I dont know how TSH fits in with someone who has no thyroid but my levels were normal before it was removed so I have no use for it anyway. Same for the Free T3 and Free T4- always normal. I just ordered the Stop the Thyroid Madness book so I can learn more. I still dont fully understand it (yet) and dont know where my numbers should be and I know I will have to lead the doctor on what I want to get my health back. Hopefully he will be willing to oblige. I am working on some of my vitamin and iron levels now because they are at the low end of normal. No one seems concerned but I want them up because it only makes sense to raise them before looking at increasing the levothyroxine. I also need to look into the suppression of TSH to prevent a recurrance on the cancer. I am still waiting to get the pathology report. So far, my experience could have been much worse.
