Thank you for the birthday wishes. I'm enjoying the iPad. I should have bought it sooner!

Jean,

When you get to the place in your message where you want to add an emoticon, just click on the emoticon you want, and the system should automatically add the proper code to your message. It will appear in your text as the name of the emoticon, with a colon before and after it.

After you submit your post, everyone's browser will properly interpret the code and display the emoticon when your post is viewed.

If you want to see what the emoticon will look like in your posted message, just click on the "Preview" button instead of the "Submit" button. If everything looks fine, then click on the back button in your browser, and click on the submit button to enter the post. If anything needs editing, you can do it before submitting the post. If you still can't get it to work, you might have to activate javascript in your browser.

Happy birthday Gloria, sorry for the late response, I'm just getting over surgery done on Monday. I love my ipad, what a great tool, so much easier, lighter and versatile than a laptop.

Take Care & Best of Wishes Gloria

More surgery, Joe? I hope you're healed enough for the wedding. You need a break from physical problems. Too many!

Thank you for the birthday wishes. DH is starting to keep track of his carbs, thanks to a nutrition app. I didn't get a cellular model, but I have a mobile hot spot I can use for vacations. It was near impossible to see my laptop screen when we were driving. I hear the iPad is easily read outside.

I wondered if I should try creating an MC app with a poop/food/nutrition diary. Could be a big sell.
