Pain....Tex?

Post by Lesley »

Suddenly. Abdomen, right lower quadrant, just above the groin area. Sort of twisting pain. Taking my breath away. Nothing seems to help.
I have C as a result of taking one Norco a couple of days ago because my back pain was horrible.

At least I don't have to use the brace anymore.

Tex - ideas?

Lesley,

I really don't have any idea what that could be. It's in the wrong location to be associated with C, unless it's an unusual episode.

I would have to guess that it may be caused by pressure on a nerve. Could your posture have shifted after you stopped using the brace?

Doesn't feel like a nerve problem. It's one of those pains which make you feel you want to fart.

The brace was really making me feel ill. The pressure on my usually bloated abdomen was horrible.
The physical med. doc. said the fx is stable enough for me not to wear the brace if it is making me feel bad. I am not so sure since the neurosurgeon said I could not go home without it. Still, I feel so lousy when I wear it that I have given myself 2 days off.

This pain will NOT quit!

You're probably right. Back when I was still recovering, gas was often a major problem. I couldn't get rid of it, and the pain was sometimes almost unbelievable. I spent many a day at work, with the top couple of buttons of my Levis unbuttoned. I wore a wide belt so that it wasn't so obvious.

Nice visual!
This pain is still in the same place. I am sure it's bowel because I had a slight gas movement and it gave a teeny bit of relief or something.

That pain stayed with me overnight. Still with me, but things are trying to move, so the pain is sort of more shooting. I have been bombarding myself with stuff like mineral oil, citrucel, stool softeners. Starting to cramp. I just hope there is a clean out soon because between this and my back I am ready to jump off my balcony.
