A little good news on knee
As you know I said I was getting the rocking chair from SIL.......Did that and finally got to use it Sunday and this am before pt. AT pt I discovered that I have gained 10% of my mobility back. I purposly did not do any of the pt exercises this weekend, just the rocking chair. I am exstremly happy about the gain. I go back to the surgeon on the 12th....I hope I have more mobility by then. I am however not sleeping ( the old insomnia is back) So tomorrow when I go with SIL to shop....I will get some natural sleep aid. Love Oma

Hiya Oma----sounding like yourself again---still a bit weary but can hear a little pep in your words--
Knowing U---mobility will increase---
Today we finished everything!!!! thank goodness~~~~ went thru the last bin Doug brough in--and did that wash----
Now Luigi has 70 pair of drawers--50 pair of socks --
And I have stashed some stuff that we are TAKING home~~~
We are planning to go to a Xmas party with the friends we have here--good thing I brought something fairly dressy---
Dont think a set of sweats would look so terrific--
So keep up the good work, along with the attitude---and hope U get some sleep----some zzzzzzzzzzzzz's would be great~~~~

Keep up the good work, Oma! I know how frustrating healing is. My set of doctor appointments included a "post-op" appointment for yesterday, but apparently someone in the doc's office office screwed up, because he said it was too early for a post-op appointment, which makes sense because he had told me it would be 6 weeks before I could return to work. I'm 4 weeks out today.
Gosh I'm bored though. Bet you are too.

Oma,
You know how a watched pot seems to take forever to boil. Healing seems mighty slow, too, when it is the center of our attention, every day. You'll get there, though. It just takes time for the body to do the things it needs to do.
I don't recall my doctor telling me I couldn't work, he just said not to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds, so I went back to work yesterday. I thought I would have serious problems forcing myselt out of bed this morning, but I felt surprisingly good. I'm not doing anything that requires any serious physical effort, though. Mostly just watching trucks being loaded, and driving a forklift.
It takes much longer to recover from knee surgery, though, so please don't try to rush your healing. It's pretty obvious that my surgery was a lot easier to recover from than Katy's, also, so I consider myself mighty lucky.
Well, time to get back to the grind.
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi Calamity! Any improvement is a step in the right direction! Your knee will be good as new (whoops - it IS new!) in no time! Enjoy your rocking chair!
PS - glad to see ya around again! You're missed when you're not here!
Tex,
You just can't keep a good down! Be careful on the forklift - juggling your innerds can't be good!
to you both!

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
