Post by Liz »

Has anybody had respiritory problems when taking entocort. Not sure if what I am experiencing now is a virus or from the drug. Breathing not too good and bronchial conjestion.

Hi Liz,

I had lots of side effects with the entocort, but nothing at all respiratory. Probably you have a bug. Sorry to hear it. You have a summer cold, when those of us up here in the northern hemisphere are dealing with snow and frigid tempreatures! Hope you feel better soon.

BTW, the side effects all went away when I was finished with the entocort.

Hi Hazel

Thanks for that. What side effects did you have? I have had back pain, a liitle more severe that I usually get. Have an appointment to see my GP this afternoon. See what she says. I have not taken any this morning. Can still take this afternoon if she tyhinks it is OK.

Hi Barb
Just been having a bit of a doze. Not much sleep last night. Feeling a bit dizzy as well. Look like nothing on earth & feel worse. Even the throat spasms were much worse last night & I thought I was going to choke. Got the old inhalent out & it has cleared the conjestion a little but still pretty wheezy & stuffed up. Really think it may be the entocort.

Out of 651 patients, in an entocort trial, 11% developed a respiratory infection:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Liz,

Well, sounds like it could be the entocort. I had the usual steroid stuff: weight gain, cramping, bruising.

Hope you're feeling better. BTW, those bears in the other topic are adorable.
