I just listened to the interview with Dr. marsh. Very interesting, and he acknowledges that the immune response to gluten presents in the colon as well as the small intestine. He even suggests the large intestine reaction is a useful early warning for gluten sensitivityand has created a test to diagnose. Great material here, but only available through tomorrow am so sign up if you want to hear this.

So sorry, Lesley.

They are holding over today's programs through tomorrow. However, I don't know how that will work unless they do the same for the rest of the days.

Four presenters in one day is way too much for me.

Thanks Maggie. I tend to agree.

I listened to one presenter last night, but got about 20% of what he was saying I will try to listen to another one tonight if I can.

I listened to Dr Mark Houston...oh my! A cardiologist who also focuses on nutrition & tests for gluten! He has a Nutritionist on staff who also is an exercise specialist! He suspects gluten sensitivity if HDL is low. Who knew?
He also said arrhythmia, left bundle block, heart failure, cardiac myopathy, enlarged heart are all related to gluten intensity.
I was gob-smacked as I have progressed thru all of those! I was undiagnosed for 20years...
Wish I lived in Kentucky. He said we used the wrong tests for heart issues...no kidding! He has a book that would be good if you have heart issues.

The few I've listened to had a lot of good information, and as Sunny pointed out, Dr. Houston's approach to cardiac care is impressive. I especially like the way that he recognizes the need for a low-carb high-fat diet. He seems to have all his ducks in a row.

By contrast, the interview with Dr. Fasano left a lot to be desired. The information was good (if I could have understood what he was saying), but between his voice (I wonder if he had a cold), his accent, and the relatively poor quality of the recording itself, I had a tough time understanding most of what he said. After the second time through, I think I understood most of what he said. It appears that he is finally beginning to accept the reality of the spectrum of gluten sensitivity, and the effect it has on our overall health. I liked that he came right out and acknowledged that no human can digest gluten. Too many people have been trying to ignore that fact for too long.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks Tex. I need short summaries since I have no energy to listen to anything.
