I've started taking MSM for inflammation (due to a fall). I was wondering if anyone knows if this could cause D....I started it yesterday and tonight I can tell BM is slightly changed.
The ingredients are Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) / Molybdenum (as molybdenum chelate) / Methylsulfonylmethane (OptiMSM)
It states that it is suitable for vegetarians and contains no yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy or wheat. Contains no sugar, starch salt, preservatives or artificial color, flavor or fragrance.
Serving size is 2 tablets (1,000 MG).....but I've been taking 4.....which could be causing me some distress.
Thanks,
Terre
PS: The looser BM could be attributed to something other than the MSM - I've just been doing better and am trying not to rock the boat!

Hi Terre,
Some of us (myself included) have problems tolerating ascorbic acid (which is made from corn) while we are recovering.
Your dosage might be causing problems, but that's strictly a guess. I've never taken MSM, so I don't have any experience that I can share.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thanks for the info. I'll cut back to the normal dose and see how that goes, the lady at the health food store suggested the higher dose to see if it would give me a boost to help with the inflammation (from fall)......just call me Grace!
It is good to know about the ascorbic acid and I will definitely keep an eye on that to see if it is something I should try to avoid.
Tex, thank you for always being so helpful!!!!
