Strangest thing happened

Post by Lesley »

I use Dr. Schulze's intestinal formula (thanks Jean) after 3 days of C, when nothing is budging it. I have been ordering it from Amazon.
I ran out this week, and typed it into Google in preparation for ordering a new bottle. For some reason Google took me to this website:
http://marinadelrey.patch.com/listings/ ... l-pharmacy

This is around the corner (literally) from where I live. I drive back and forth there more or less every time I go out, though admittedly that's not often.
Why I didn't know this or ever notice it before is beyond me. It's there, big and shiny. Inside there is a counter, of course, an area where you can drink tea and listen to Dr. Shulze, who is on a permanent loop with his latest video lectures, and wait your turn, though there was no one there but me, and shelves and shelves of all the herbal remedies.

And the bottle cost less than through Amazon.

This is a great resource! I'll have to check into this botanical pharmacy...
Thanx, Leslie

You can ask them for a catalog. I ad a sample of the green protein drink. I want to see how I react before trying it.

About the same, Sunny, thanks for asking.

Lesley,

I call that "synchronicity". When things align just the right way.. Do you live in Marina Del Rey in CA? If so, I lived there for 17 years :-) My old stomping grounds. (Unless there is another one in FL or elsewhere).

Take care,

Or serendipity.

Yes, I live in MdR, CA.
Where did you live?

Much has changed, is changing and not for the better unfortunately. It is still a great place with glorious weather most of the time.
It is becoming way too expensive. They are pulling down the lovely old buildings and putting up serious monstrosities in their place. The infrastructure is not constructed to deal with the extra people, so it's quite lucky that they are pricing themselves out of the market, and are running pretty empty. As it is the traffic jams are horrible.
The are always fixing Admiralty but it is never fixed.

Lesley,

Yes, definitely a serendipitous event :-)

I lived there many, many years ago when I first arrived to the US. I didn't stay long in the apts there, I bought a house in Santa Monica, later another in Culver City by the studios. I also lived in Playa Del Rey. Stayed in the area for 17 years. But I moved to Virginia for a newspaper job then to Atlanta for another newspaper job before they all went comatose.

The prices always were stratospheric. Once I sold my house I couldn't go back to CA because I couldn't afford my own house back. I can't imagine what's the traffic like now over there. It always was crowded anyway. I don't regret moving to Atlanta, it does have the four seasons, it's mild weather by comparison to the rest of the country and the prices are more real and down to earth. Talking about down to earth---the 90's earthquake scared the beejesus out of my late husband and I, so we packed up and left for Virginia Beach which was tantamount to having an IV drip filled with xanax pumped into your vein because it was, undoubtedly, seriously more relaxed than L.A.

I do miss my lifelong friends there. One in Pasadena, one in Pacific Palisades and one in Bel Air.

Regards,

Monique

When you bought it was still affordable. I understand why you couldn't move back,

For me hot and humid and cold and snowy are impossible, though the former is way worse. I literally cannot breathe.
Which is why I like it here.

You can always come and visit. I would be happy to meet you.
