Gluten Summit repeat presentations FYI

Post by UkuleleLady »

these are available through tomorrow. I can't recommend Dr. Marsh's presentation (even if he says it's OK to drink beer) and Dr. Fasano's presentations enough.

***NEWSFLASH***

Due to the OVERWHELMING response to the Gluten Summit, we are repeating EIGHT presentations today, for Encore Day!!!

Today is your chance to LISTEN AGAIN to:

*David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, ABIHM, “Eliminating Gluten as the 1st Step in Preventing Brain Conditions"

*Michael Marsh, MD, DSc, FRCP, “Before Marsh III: Why the Early Stages of Celiac Disease Must Be Taken Seriously”

*William Davis, MD, “Modern Wheat: It's MORE Than Wheat.”

*Alessio Fasano, MD “Why Creating the Healthiest Intestinal Environment Possible Can Arrest Your Vulnerability to the #3 Cause of Getting Sick and Dying”

*Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD, MMedSci “The Critical Nature of Gut Health and its Impact on Children's Brains”

*Cynthia Kupper, RD “After the Diagnosis: Supporting YOU With Making Sense of Labels, Dining Out With Confidence and Transitioning Smoothly to a Gluten-Free Diet”

*Liz Lipski, PhD, CCN, CHN, “How the Right Diet Can Address Symptoms Throughout the Body”

*Mark Houston, MD, MS, ABAARM, FACP, FAHA, FASH, “How Sensitivity to Gluten Can Impact Your Heart and Cardiovascular System”

ENCORE DAY will be available until 9.59am Nov 20. Please click on the Daily Event Link provided in last night's Daily Report email to access the interviews (be sure to clear the cache on your broweser first). Registration is free and could change your life!

Thanks Nancy,

I was just about to post the same notice, for anyone who might have missed any of the presentations and would like a second chance at them.

Tex - how do you record them?

And why can't I see all of the ones mentioned?

Lesley,

I use downloadHelper, which is an addon for Firefox.

Try this link:

I got there and listened, but I would like to record a couple of them. Hard to grasp first time around. Just don't know how. I found download helper, but have no idea how to use it.

You have to be using Firefox, but if you are, and you have successfully downloaded DownloadHelper and installed it, then anytime you are visiting a website that has a video available, look up in the navigation toolbar of your browser. You should see an icon that looks like a cluster of 3 tiny, differently-colored balloons, and they should be rotating. Click on the tiny arrow to the right of it and a dropdown menu should appear with a list of the videos available for download on that particular page. Click on the one you want, and then follow the on-screen prompts to save it to your computer. I always set up Firefox options so that it will ask where to save downloads, so that I can organize them as they are saved. The default destiny is the "Download" file in your "My Documents" folder, if you don't instruct it otherwise. If the colors are absent in the icon, and it's not rotating, then either no video is available, or it is not downloadable.

The interviews are no longer available, but if you need copies of one or more of them, I'll be happy to email you the file (or files), but be aware that these are relatively large files (mostly 40 to 60 megabytes), and some email providers limit email attachments to as little as 5 MB. I have no idea what kind of bandwidth your provider might allow, nor what the industry standards might be.
