C-1) Antigenic Food Sensitivity Stool Panel
Mean Value 11 Antigenic Foods 7 Units (Normal Range is less than 10 Units)

While all of the foods tested can be immune-stimulating, the hierarchy of reactions detected were as follows:

Food to which there was no significant immunological reactivity: beef, pork, tuna, almonds, walnuts, cashews, white potato. Food to which there was some immunological reactivity (1+):0 Food to which there was moderate immunological reactivity (2+): corn Food to which there was significant and/or the most immunological reactivity (3+):
Chicken, rice

This has me puzzled. When I feel bad I make a chicken soup with carrots, celery and white rice. I swear I feel better after I eat this. How come??? I have been eating rice cakes as a grab and go food if I need something....no corn chips also? What the heck! Now, I am really frustrated although it could be worse. I guess I am confused also...do we pay more attention to the unit score or the individual food score? .....and if I want to heal does this mean not having corn, rice and chicken for a few years. Oh my.......that with no gluten, soy or casein is overwhelming. I got to dig deep for my gratitude list tonight.... :sad:

I could be wrong here, but since your mean value is only 7, that is within normal range. I would guess that you probably don't react very much to any of those foods. Although if you are still having problems, I guess you could try to eliminate them and see if that solves your on going issues. Then, when all is good, you can test each one individually.

Did you have the gluten test, too?

Just wondering if that was high. AFAIK, and like Leah said, your mean value is low. I was in the forties. I know I'm allergic to rice, I have a bad reaction the next day with pain.

Yes, I had the first panel which indicated food intolerances with gluten, soy and casein. So, you look at the overall score not the individual ones? That would be great because my soup is awesome!!! :lol:

Leah and Nancy are correct. You feel better after eating those foods because you are no more sensitive to them than the average individual in the general population. As Leah and Nancy pointed out, the overall score either qualifies or disqualifies the individual scores, so in your case, a low score of 7 should disqualify the individual readings, meaning that you should have nothing to worry about with those foods.

I'm guessing you tested highest to chicken and rice because you eat them frequently. It's probably an indicator of leaky gut, which we all have.

I wonder if I could try chicken and rice now? Maybe I tested high on them because I had been eating them exclusively when I did the tests?

They didn't give mean values at that time. Tex, could that be possible?

Hi Lesley,

Here are your test results:
Mean Value 11 Antigenic Foods 23 Units (Normal Range is less than 10 Units)

Food toward which you displayed least immunologic reactivity: Walnut, Oat
Food for which there was no significant immunologic reactivity: White potato
Chicken, rice, tuna,and corn are the most likely foods to trigger a reaction. It's possible that you might be able to tolerate them for a meal or 2 after you've avoided them for a long time, but the odds are rather high that even if you can tolerate them, you would be very likely to quickly build up a sensitivity again. It's impossible to predict how long it would take to begin reacting to them, but we know for a fact that if you eat them for a while, you definitely build up antibodies against them.

Are you able to tolerate pork, cashew, beef, or almond?

I have been eating pork and beef. Whether they are upsetting me? Who knows? I tried to eat ONLY lamb for about 6 weeks. No change in the cycle I have been in every since I started the diet, so I went back to pork and beef for protein.
I have not tried cashews or almonds.

I wish I could do the tests again. They seem to be more detailed and easier to understand.
I so want to be able to eat chicken soup, and use the stock in other soups. I am so limited as it is.
