Curious... How many of you struggle with blood sugar issues? And those of you who do, how many would say this is post diagnosis? Also, again, those of you who do, how many of you have close family members who also do or have had blood sugar issues?

Jennifer,

Blood sugar issues (and diabetes) are strongly associated with untreated gluten sensitivity. My father had blood sugar issues, but he was never diagnosed with diabetes (his doctor considered him to be "suspect"). I have no idea what my level was before MC came along, but I've been on a GF diet for over 11 years now, and my blood sugar is fine.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

My blood sugar is ok but my father had gut problems as far back as I can remember and also was a diabetic.

Thanks, Tex, and everyone else. :) My sister went in for testing Thursday, and apparently, our mother had blood sugar issues when she was in her 30s. I mentioned to my sister she might be fructose intolerant (as I am), but her dr. wanted to do the testing.
