Applesauce isn't any harder than boiling potatoes for dinner. 2-3 apples: Peel, quarter, cut out the seed part, throw them in a pot with about 1/4-1/2 cup water. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes while you're cooking your other dinner food. Watch to see if you need to add any water. Poke them with a fork to make sure they're good and soft. Mash a little with a fork if you need to, and eat. No sugar, no additives, really good. If you use red or yellow delicious (which don't have much flavor) you add a little lemon juice and sugar. Add allspice or cinnamon if you want.

I'll get back to you on the pork chops: I think you'll really like it.

I hope you try homemade, you'll never eat storebought again.

Peg,

I wonder if it would be a lost cause if I left out the lemon juice. I'm assuming that the citric acid acts as a preservatiive, so it may not be optional. Citric acid is one of those items that cleans my plow, if I eat it two or more days in a row.

Any thoughts?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Ok, I see that lemon juice is optional in Marsha's recipe.
