Catching Up

Post by Vandolyn »

I have been away for awhile. On October 15th, the last day of our tax season filing, I got up with a sore throat, cold, bronchitis and sinusitis infection. It was the worst I had in years. Temperature spiked to 104. I did go the doctor - twice. I ended up with Levaquin, Mucinex DX, cough medicine with codeine and finally five days of predisone. This was two and one half weeks before we left on a cruise to South America. I was not completely well right up to the time we were leaving. After norman for three months, here came the D five hours before we were to get on the flight. I ran to the pharmacy and got Immodium and took two. I got the Entocort out of the drawer and packed it. I was not going to stay at home. Amercian had changed planes and changed our seats. We were right in front of a bathroom. After all of that, I did not need it. I decided it must have been all of that medicine causing the problem. I got the bronchitis back on the trip and still have it to a degree.

I wanted to let everyone know about Holland America and American Airlines. I had talked with them both before we left about the gluten free. They were awesome. Our waiter worked with me every night picking out my food for the following night. I had no problems while we were gone. The key is to give a heads up to everyone and they will work with you.

Tex, I decided instead of carrying your book with me, I would download it my IPad before we left. ITunes charged $29.95 for that book. Now it is well worth it, but that is way more than I have ever paid for a download. Having said all of that, I certainly hope most of that fee comes to you as royalties!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I am making GF dressing - I hope no one can tell the difference.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I wish!

Can you get a refund from Apple? Since you already own the book, you shouldn't have to buy it twice. I would have been happy to email you the digital version for an iPad. If you can get a refund, we can still do that. Just let me know.

That was bad luck with the virus. I'm glad that you were able to salvage the trip, though.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Tex,

I appreciate the offer very much. I am sure ITunes could care less about refunds after this long. I just gave another one of your books away. I am so grateful to you for this book. It changed my life.

No Tex....I bought the paperback because I wanted to mark pages and it is too hard to skim on Kindle. I paid both times, but your book is well worth it. No complaints here!

Well thank you very much, both of you. I appreciate the kind words, and your support and other contributions to this discussion board.
