That's a good question. The answer probably depends on whether the inflammation is due to lymphocytic infiltation (associated with MC), or whether it's due to too much acid, associated with a mast call disorder resulting in the release of too much histamine — histamine prompts the parietal cells in the stomach to increase the production of acid).Darla wrote:I have been wondering if the ranitidine might be working against me in regards to enough stomach acid for digestion...
There's also a wild card here, and that's the fact that for some of us, H2 antihistamines (such as ranitidine) can cause us to react, unfortunately.
