Babs-- Enterolab tests and MRT tests do not measure the same things. They test for 2 different types of reactions and it's important to know the difference. Enterolab tests measure the amount of antibodies your gut produces in response to certain foods. These are the foods that cause inflammation and are creating your MC problems. These results are very reliable, since the antibodies show up in your feces.
Mediator Release Testing is a blood test that indicates which foods are likely to cause you to create histamine reactions. This is not an issue for everyone who has MC.
So you can see why we all went with Enterolab first. To learn which foods are causing our gut to be inflamed and produce antibodies as a result is a critical step toward planning a diet that starts us on the path to healing.
There are sections on the home page that has information of both kinds of tests, in much more detail than my nutshell description here.

Carol stated the reasons why Enterolab is more reliable. I had both tests done. The Enterolab test was spot-on.
The MRT test results were accurate for the reactive (red) results, but not for the non-reactive (green) and moderately reactive (yellow) results. Most people think the MRT test will let them know which foods are safe to eat and permit more foods in their diet, but all of the non-reactive and moderately reactive foods still need to be tested to see if they are safe. You can't assume that they are safe.
