Those of you that feel your relapses come from stress, do you have other symptoms other than D? There have been times when I have had small bouts of D. Now I'll make note of whats going on in my life at the time. Deb, you make a good point about being conscious to complain less and laugh more!
I feel like this instance is definitely from the stomach bug, as my symptoms were more severe than with other bouts of D. And the achiness and pain were more prevalent this time.
On a good note, I am feeling MUCH better today! Once my poor digestive system had properly taken care of the kale soup, the pain, D, fatigue is mostly gone. I am of course still eating my BRAT diet, and will continue to do so until all of the pain is gone. But I was one of the lucky ones who was diagnosed with MC very quickly (due to family history of cancerous colon polyps). So I think the initial damage was not as severe as with most of you.
Thanks again for all the input!

Sara, glad to hear you're feeling better! Your early dx is favorable and it's great you're finding relief sooner than later.

Usually, whatever pattern of symptoms is normally experienced by someone during a flare due to any other cause, will be present when a flare is triggered by stress. However, note that systemic symptoms (such as joint pain, brain fog, etc.), typically take a few days to develop, so if a reaction only lasts for a couple of days or so, the other symptoms may never develop.Sara wrote:Those of you that feel your relapses come from stress, do you have other symptoms other than D?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
