Pat,
I went to The Vitamin Shoppe yesterday to pick up more Doctor's Best strontium, and the web price is now the same as the store price of $18.89. I'm looking for another supplier now. Yes, so many people report an increase in their bone density after using it. I also looked at studies in Europe which demonstrated positive results. The main reason that doctors here don't promote it, I believe, is because it is an OTC treatment and the pharmaceutical companies have no interest in funding studies. Without a study to back up a recommendation, doctors probably worry about lawsuits. I know that their malpractice insurance rates are sometimes higher than many of our incomes.

I bet that pharmaceuticals would be more than happy to fund a study to prove it's ineffective, if it were possible. The fact that they haven't may suggest that they already know that it is effective and don't want to promote it.

Polly,
This IS good news for me. My density has been in decline for many years. It's fantastic to see it begin to increase again.

the other excitement with this news is that your body, the cells etc are getting healthy again!

your patience and tenacity on your MC Journey is now showing its worth!
thank you for teaching me the true meaning of patience and tenacity

- and re the excel sheet, I had it set up with conditional formatting, linked to the range for that test, if it was close to the top or the bottom of the range it went orange, outside of the range red.
i have fallen behind with being diligent and updating (having a half decent GP that i can trust has meant to I could relax a bit) i will put that on the task list for the xmas/new year break

I order a lot from iherb.com and they have given me a code to give to friends to use and get $10.00 off their first order. It is WDP895. Use it if you want. :)

Thanks, Pat. I as looking at the same sites last night, plus Amazon. Incredibly, Amazon was selling the strontium 60 pack through Vitamin Shoppe for $9.72 plus $.99 shipping, so I ordered a bottle. I don't know if Amazon's pricing is lagging behind, or what. I'll see what happens next month. It's the shipping that adds up, of course, so if I have to order it online, I'm going to look at my free shipping options, too.

Gabes,
Thank you for your kind comments, though I never see myself that way. I'm plugging along like everyone else here, just for a little longer time.

Hmm - conditional formatting in your spreadsheet - you must be pretty proficient with them. I'm impressed!
