Question about posting profile information

Post by harvest_table »

This site is really shaping up! It's taking on a really focused shape with the forums I see. I like it!

My question is this. Where is the best place to post my profile info.

On the other board I kept an udated history of my experiences with meds
and diet which I posted under Medical Profiles. I've already started to transfer it here under Medical Profiles but now I see it may be best to post it into experiences with meds and also diet info.
Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Love,
Joanna

If you are copying text already written, it wouldn't hurt to have the pertainent parts in different places...like complete in profiles, meds part in med experiences etc. IMHO. Newbies would probably approach which forums they read differently depending on their own concerns, so to have it out there easily findable might make sense.

Hi Joanna,

You can do it however you wish. There is also a "Journals" room that some use for regular, (daily), updates.

I agree with Katy that newbies will search in their own way depending on their focus and their own situation. IOW post it in all three places if you wish; in that way people will find it and you don't have to spend a lot of time figuring out where to post it.

I think it's important that the members here have a freedom to use the forum and the rooms as they see fit. I am thinking that the more the rooms are being used the better; the rooms that turn out to be a little dead or completely dead in the long run should probably eventually be removed and the info moved over to the active rooms. This is strictly my own opinion.

I was thinking the same thing about posting it in both rooms. I'm not copying it, just re-typing it and making a few changes. It's fun for me to read it back and look over the progress that I have made in the last year, a few steps forward and sometimes back. What I've learned (along with many other things) is that it's not a short road to recovery with MC, but well worth the wait.

Thanks for your input.
Love,
Joanna
