Wow... huge price cut on Wayne's book!

[NOTE: This post was originally written on Dec. 8, 2013 and the sale price is no longer current. Amazon's prices are subject to change at any time and they often do! Just a friendly reminder.]

The paperback copy is listed at $12.80 right now, if anyone doesn't have their own copy yet (or needs another).

And I thought I got a good deal by using Amazon's 30% book discount code last week. Bummer! Maybe someone else can take advantage of this great deal though!

Wow, that is a great deal. I paid considerably more and it was worth every penny. I've referenced the book many times. How on earth would anyone educate themselves on the topic of MC and get their life moving without this group and the book? I know this complex journey would have been much longer and more weary-making for me. Get the book and a yellow highlighter. It's a quick education. :graduate:

It went up, but just a little. $13.71 right now... still a great deal!

My copy came in the mail today and I'm looking forward to digging into it!

Hello I'm brand new and interested in the book. Is there another source you are referencing? Amazon is considerably more...

Hello! I was referring to Amazon, but it looks like the price went back up -- Amazon's prices tend to fluctuate quite a bit. As far as I know, Amazon is the only place to get it. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

I'm happy that a few people got a reduce price for the book but I hope that newbies and visitors to this site don't prolong their recovery by waiting and hoping to save a couple of dollars. The book helped me a lot and I hope that others find the same help. A person with MC can save plenty in medical bills, transportation to doctors, lost time from work and family, and lost quality of life by reading the book and making some changes. If you have MC, the sooner you get started, the better off you'll be

I agree with DJ, and think the book is well worth full price. The book can save you a lot of time you would spend in trial and error as well as research.

Jan,

Welcome to our internet family. If buying the book right now (with the holidays and all) would impose a financial hardship, send me your mailing address in an email or PM, and I'll be happy to send you a copy, free of charge. If you have a digital reader, I can email a copy immediately, but of course a printed copy would have to go through the regular mail, which may take a few days, during the holidays. For a digital version, I would need to know which type of reader you have, in order to send a correctly formatted digital file.

Again, welcome to the board, and please feel free to ask anything.

Hi Tex, thanks so much for the welcome and your generous offer. I can afford to buy the book and am happy to support your efforts. I have not yet been diagnosed but am pretty certain I have MC due to mast cells following a parasitic infection. I may post a short intro soon. Very happy to have landed here!

I forgot to mention that I have no control over Amazon. They set the price for books as they see fit. Apparently they were just playing games with the price last week, to see if it might increase sales. As far as I can see, sales were lower last week than they normally have been.

We're happy that you landed here, and I hope that you can find the solutions that you are seeking. More and more of us are discovering that mast cells play a very important role in our digestive problems.

Tex, I added a note to my original post, but feel free to delete the whole thread or whatever if it only serves to confuse people. I just wanted to give a quick heads up to people at the time.

BTW, I'm part way into the book now and really enjoying it. Well, "enjoying" probably isn't the right word for the subject matter, but I appreciate all of your research and hard work writing it.

Kristen,

The edit is fine. Thanks for the update.

And thank you for the kind words. It was a labor of love.
