Hi Pipi,

I think I'm still on track. The incision seems to be healing nicely, and my digestion is good.

I made a couple of deliveries this afternoon, for the first time since my surgery, (which requires driving a truck with very stiff suspension), so I'm anxious to see if the rough ride irritated my incision.

The only fly in the ointment at this point, appears to be a stubborn fungus, (yeast, or whatever), around my stomate. It's one of those things that one picks up in hospitals, and then can't get rid of. I've been diligently using the high-priced powder that they prescribed for it, but so far, whatever it is, seems to be ignoring the fact that I'm trying to get rid of it. (It's always something, isn't it). LOL.

I'll probably have to go back to get another opinion on it, next week. I hope it doesn't become an internal problem. That would be a real bummer.

Otherwise, everything seems to be hunky-dory.

Hugs,
Wayne

Hiya tex!

Fungus infections are indeed stubborn and can take weeks to months to respond to treatment, unfortunately. Just keep at it - it will eventually pay off, I think. But it is too bad you have to have it at all. Ratz.

Love,

Polly

Barbara,

I think that's my main problem--I always forget about the pits, until it's too late. LOL.

Jill,

It itches a little, but fortunately, it's not too bad, so I don't catch myself absent-mindedly scratching it.

Polly,

Looking at the calender, it appears that I've actually only been using the powder for a little over two weeks, so you're right, it's too soon to expect results. It doesn't seem to be spreading, so that's probably a sign that the treatment is working.

Love,
Wayne

Hi Tex....me too! I forget the Pits! Then it really is the pits. I hope things get better with the fungus thing. I use a cream for my skin problem called Nystatin which is a fungal cream. I even used it on Jasmines ears. Now and then she gets a fungal thing on her ear and the nystatin clears it up. I think I paid $30 for a tube that lasts me forever as it spreads thin. Glad you are on the mend. Love Oma
