Hi all,
Since it's party time, thought I'd just mention this for those of you who can eat corn products.
For the first time last week, I bought some Mission brand corn chips that come in a BIG brown bag at Walmart, and they were soooo fresh and delicious!! AND, they are gluten free! That's why I can eat em!! My other brand is good too, but I think I like these even better, and they're probably more economical and accessible to most people.
Since I was familiar with Mission's corn tortillas being about the only commonly available CORN tortilla that's gf, I was ecstatic to find that their chips were also.
Has anyone else tried these? They're big, and would be perfect for some southwestern style dips.
Happy eating!
Yours, Luce
Delicious, fresh corn chips!!!!

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for the tip. I can eat corn, but I do Tostitos. I thought they were gluten free, because I couldn't see anything on the label, and they don't make me sick . . what do you think?

These Mission's corn chips have "Gluten Free" actually printed on the package which is why I trust them. What impresses me the most is how FRESH and tasty they are. I wonder if it's because the supply moves off the shelves at Walmart so fast.
There are some other commercial brands that don't intentionally have gluten in them, but they often use the same equipment, thus there's some danger of getting contamination if your package happens to be the first to go through.
I didn't want to get into the "allergen" issue in this area of the board, but thought perhaps everyone would want to try this delicious product.
Am I the only one who keeps various kinds of chips in the frig so they won't get stale?
Funny, cause guess I've done it so long that I don't even notice if they're slightly cold when I eat them. My sister DID notice after served her some with lunch the other day!! That was soooo funny! Welp, guess you'd have had to be there to appreciate that one.
