Christmas Present

Post by Jskaggs »

Good morning everyone. Hope you are staying warm in this cold weather. Which leads me to the very best Christmas present someone with MC could ever receive. I had this large box from my husband and could not figure out what it could be. When the big day came, I opened, are you ready for it. A heated toilet seat. I thought he was teasing, but honestly, it is the best ever. I love that man!

Problem which salas

Post by Jskaggs »

Hi,
I am so glad for that heated toilet seat because I tried to eat a salad yesterday and had several trips to the bathroom- 11 actually. It was not D just small thin things and bloating and gas. I was diagnosed in May last year. I so want to eat salads and fruits, but now I am afraid to try again. How long does it take? I am just frustrated.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Jane. I was diagnosed at the end of May, 2013 too. I can't eat a salad yet. I can have raw tomato without much trouble and a little raw onion. I can eat one lettuce leaf once in a while, maybe daily. I use tender baby lettuce. After reading what other members post, it isn't surprising that we can't eat a salad yet. Keep healing and try new things in small
quantities. An congrats on the toilet seat. It sounds like you have a hubby who "gets it".

Ha ha ha. Great gift! I wasn't able to eat a salad until after about a year and it can only be a small one with tender greens ( not iceberg or romaine). I can however eat celery and raw cabbage ( like coleslaw) now. If I go over board and try to eat a big entree size one , even after two years, I will react within a few hours. Still very little fruit for me :( Hang in there.

Definitely a good gift for someone recovering from MC.

That sounds so heavenly!

Jane-It took me about a year before I could eat salad again but there is hope! I have one every day now for lunch and can tolerate everything, including tomatos, bell peppers, etc.

Thank you all for the good news that salads will be in my future. This forum means so much to me. It is nice to know (unfortunately) that others know just what you are going through and can help you through a difficult situation.

Hope everyone has a great day.
